JOB DESCRIPTION – CNC PROGRAMMER/COSTING
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for CNC Turret Punch and CNC Brake Press machines.
- Prepare CNC programs using AUTOCAD/SOLIDWORKS software as per engineering drawings and production requirements.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Optimize nesting and material utilization to minimize scrap and production cost.
- Calculate and estimate material consumption, sheet utilization, scrap, and wastage for CNC jobs.
- Prepare job-wise costing considering material, machine time, setup time, tooling, labour, and processing requirements.
- Estimate machine cycle time and production time for component costing and quotation purposes.
- Provide accurate costing inputs for new products, customer quotations, and existing component revisions.
- Analyze actual production costs against estimated costing and identify cost variations.
- Select appropriate tools and machining parameters to achieve the required quality while controlling tooling and processing costs.
- Troubleshoot and modify CNC programs to resolve programming, machining, and production issues.
- Ensure CNC programs meet quality, productivity, and dimensional accuracy requirements.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, and Engineering teams for material, tooling, and production requirements.
- Manage CNC tooling, including tool selection, sourcing, procurement, repair, and inventory control.
- Support preventive maintenance planning and coordinate with the maintenance team for CNC machine-related issues.
- Raise timely indents for sheet metal raw materials, CNC tools, and machine spares.
- Maintain and update ERP records related to CNC programming, production, material consumption, and costing.
- Prepare and maintain Daily, Weekly, and Monthly MIS reports related to CNC production.
- Maintain ISO records and process-control documentation.
- Identify and implement cost-reduction and process-improvement initiatives through improved programming, nesting, tooling, and manufacturing methods.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and 5S practices at the shop floor.
- Ensure production activities support on-time delivery, quality, productivity, and cost targets.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹38,000.00 per month
