Role Overview:
We are looking for a creative and trend-aware Video Editor who understands audience retention, meme culture, storytelling, and engaging content creation. The ideal candidate should be capable of editing high-retention YouTube videos, Reels, and short-form content using creative cuts, sound design, and AI-powered editing tools.
Responsibilities:
- Edit YouTube videos, Reels, and short-form content in a high-retention style.
- Add memes, reactions, motion effects, punch cuts, captions, and sound effects to improve engagement.
- Create binge-worthy and audience-focused content with strong storytelling flow.
- Use AI tools for content enhancement, voice effects, audio generation, and workflow optimisation.
- Collaborate with the content and creative team to maintain brand tone and video quality.
- Optimise pacing, hooks, transitions, and visual elements for better audience retention.
- Ensure timely delivery of edited content as per schedules and deadlines.
- Stay updated with current editing trends, viral formats, and social media content styles.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in YouTube video editing and Reels editing.
- Strong understanding of humour, timing, audience psychology, and retention editing.
- Knowledge of sound design, background music selection, and audio enhancement.
- Familiarity with AI-based editing tools and creative automation tools is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, or similar tools.
- Ability to work creatively under deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Passion for social media, YouTube content, and viral trends.
- Creative mindset with attention to detail.
- Understanding of meme culture and internet trends.
- Experience with AI content enhancement tools is a big plus.
