Job description:
Primary Duties:
- Greet and Welcome Guests/Clients
- Provide a warm and professional greeting
- Make a positive first impression
- Check-In and Check-Out Procedures
- Handle guest arrivals and departures efficiently
- Verify identification, confirm reservations, and issue room keys (for hotels)
- Process payments and provide receipts
- Answer Phones and Emails
- Respond to inquiries and direct calls appropriately
- Take and relay messages
- Provide information about the company or property
- Manage Reservations and Appointments
- Book rooms, appointments, or meetings using booking software
- Update calendars and schedules
- Handle Guest Complaints and Requests
- Provide prompt solutions or escalate issues to the appropriate department
- Arrange amenities, services, or special requests
- Maintain Records and Reports
- Keep accurate records of guest stays or visitor logs
- Prepare daily activity or occupancy reports
- Coordinate with Other Departments
- Communicate with housekeeping, maintenance, security, etc.
- Ensure guest needs are met in a timely manner
Administrative & Technical Tasks:
- Operate front desk software, POS systems, or office equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Monitor access to the building or guest areas (if needed)
