Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care
- Assess, monitor, and provide nursing care to antenatal, postnatal, and gynaecological patients.
- Monitor vital signs, fetal heart sounds, uterine contractions, and patient progress.
- Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and emergencies.
- Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and blood products as prescribed.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care to gynaecology patients.
- Monitor patients for complications and promptly report abnormalities to the consultant.
Labour & Delivery Support
- Prepare labour rooms and ensure the availability of emergency equipment and supplies.
- Assist in normal and assisted deliveries, caesarean sections, and emergency obstetric procedures.
- Provide immediate newborn care until the baby is handed over to the paediatric team.
- Maintain accurate labour records and nursing documentation.
Patient Education & Counselling
- Educate patients and attendants regarding antenatal care, postnatal care, breastfeeding, nutrition, and family planning.
- Counsel patients on discharge instructions and follow-up care.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain nursing notes, medication records, consent forms, and departmental registers.
- Ensure compliance with NABH standards, hospital policies, and nursing protocols.
- Report incidents, medication errors, and patient safety concerns as per hospital policy.
Infection Control & Safety
- Follow hand hygiene and biomedical waste management protocols.
- Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures and dressing changes.
- Ensure proper sterilization and infection prevention practices.
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with consultants, paediatricians, anaesthetists, and other departments for patient care.
- Participate in ward rounds, departmental meetings, and nursing handovers.
- Ensure effective communication with patients and their families.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory of medicines, instruments, and consumables.
- Ensure proper functioning of equipment and report maintenance requirements.
- Assist in departmental audits and quality improvement initiatives.
Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
