Job Description – Instrument Technician
Position: Instrument Technician Qualification: Diploma in Instrumentation / Electrical / Electronics Experience: 2–5 Years (Freshers can be considered for trainee positions) Location: [Mention Site/Project Location] Industry: Power Plant / Steel Plant / PSU / Industrial Project
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, wiring, and commissioning of field instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters.
- Calibration and troubleshooting of instruments, sensors, control valves, and analyzers.
- Loop checking, continuity testing, and signal verification for instrumentation systems.
- Reading and interpreting P&ID, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and cable schedules.
- Maintenance of PLC, DCS, and control system-related field devices.
- Identification and rectification of faults in instrumentation and electrical circuits.
- Preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant instrumentation equipment.
- Coordination with engineers, supervisors, and commissioning teams during project execution.
- Ensuring compliance with safety procedures and site regulations.
- Preparation of maintenance reports, calibration records, and daily work updates.
- Knowledge of industrial instrumentation and control systems.
- Basic understanding of PLC/DCS systems.
- Ability to use multimeter, calibrator, HART communicator, and testing tools.
- Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in shifts and at project sites.
Pay: ₹11,863.87 - ₹20,000.00 per month
