Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Infrastructure & Desktop Support Engineer to manage and support enterprise IT infrastructure, end-user computing, networking, and security solutions. The ideal candidate should possess strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience in handling complex IT infrastructure and network environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 technical support for desktops, laptops, workstations, and peripheral devices.
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues with minimal downtime.
- Manage and support enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, and virtualization.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, VLANs, and enterprise network connectivity.
- Configure and support network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Handle Active Directory, Group Policy (GPO), DNS, DHCP, and user account administration.
- Support Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and Exchange administration.
- Perform system upgrades, patch management, antivirus deployment, and endpoint security management.
- Monitor IT infrastructure performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Coordinate with OEMs and third-party vendors for hardware warranty and technical support.
- Maintain asset inventory, documentation, network diagrams, and technical reports.
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies, backup procedures, and disaster recovery practices.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
- Participate in IT infrastructure implementation, migration, and upgrade projects.
- Deliver excellent customer support while adhering to SLA commitments.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Desktop and Laptop troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with Windows 10/11 and Windows Server environments.
- Expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365.
- Experience with enterprise networking concepts, including:
- TCP/IP
- VLANs
- VPN
- Routing & Switching
- Wireless Networking
- Firewall Management
- Experience with Cisco, HPE, Dell, Aruba, Fortinet, Sophos, SonicWall, or similar networking solutions.
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Understanding of backup, storage, endpoint security, and IT infrastructure best practices.
- Experience with remote support tools and ITSM/ticketing systems.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in implementing enterprise IT infrastructure solutions.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Intune, SCCM, or endpoint management solutions.
- Experience in server installation, rack integration, and data center support.
- Certifications such as:
- Microsoft Certified
- Cisco CCNA/CCNP
- Fortinet NSE
- VMware VCP
- ITIL Foundation (preferred)
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, or a related field.
