Equity Trader Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and result-oriented Equity Trader to join our Capital Markets team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing equity trades, monitoring market movements, managing client portfolios, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. The candidate should possess strong analytical skills, excellent market knowledge, and the ability to make informed trading decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute buy and sell orders in the equity market accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor live market trends, stock movements, and economic news.
- Provide market insights and trading recommendations to clients.
- Manage client portfolios and assist with investment-related queries.
- Ensure timely order execution while maintaining high service standards.
- Generate brokerage revenue by actively engaging with existing and prospective clients.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth trade settlement and account operations.
- Adhere to SEBI, Exchange, and company compliance policies.
- Maintain accurate trading records and client documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- NISM Series VIII – Equity Derivatives Certification (Preferred/Mandatory as per company policy).
- Knowledge of equity markets, trading platforms, and capital market operations.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and trading software.
Experience
- 1–5 years of experience in equity trading, stock broking, or capital markets is preferred.
