We are looking for an experienced Production Manager who can lead manufacturing operations, improve productivity, develop high-performing teams, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring quality, safety, and timely customer deliveries.

Position Summary
The Production Manager will be responsible for planning, directing, and controlling end-to-end manufacturing operations to achieve production targets while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, cost, and delivery performance.
The role requires strong leadership in fabrication, robotic automation, machining, assembly, manpower management, production planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning & Execution
- Plan and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure on-time customer deliveries.
- Coordinate with PPC to optimize production planning and machine utilization.
- Balance production capacity across all manufacturing lines.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, and materials.
Manufacturing Operations
- Manage fabrication, laser cutting, robotic welding, CNC machining, painting, and bicycle assembly operations.
- Ensure smooth production flow with minimal downtime.
- Improve production efficiency through process optimization.
- Monitor machine utilization and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop production supervisors and operators.
- Prepare shift-wise manpower planning.
- Monitor workforce productivity and attendance.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and skill development programs.
- Promote teamwork and a culture of accountability.
Continuous Improvement
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and waste reduction initiatives.
- Drive productivity improvement projects.
- Reduce cycle time and manufacturing costs.
- Improve line balancing and workflow efficiency.
- Lead root cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone, and CAPA methodologies.
Quality Management
- Ensure production meets customer specifications and quality standards.
- Work closely with the Quality team to reduce rejection and rework.
- Monitor First Pass Yield (FPY) and defect trends.
- Support internal and external quality audits.
- Ensure corrective and preventive actions are effectively implemented.
Machine & Equipment Management
- Coordinate with the Maintenance team to maximize machine uptime.
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
- Monitor production losses due to machine breakdowns.
- Support new equipment installation and commissioning.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Promote safe work practices and maintain a zero-accident culture.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to 5S standards.
- Participate in safety audits and risk assessments.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with PPC, Design, Purchase, Maintenance, Quality, and Stores departments.
- Support new product development and production launches.
- Resolve production-related issues affecting delivery schedules.
- Communicate production performance to senior management.

Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech. or Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Additional certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or TPM will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 8–15 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
- Minimum 3–5 years in a Production Manager or Senior Production role.
- Experience in bicycle manufacturing, automotive, fabrication, sheet metal, or engineering industries is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with robotic welding, robotic laser cutting, CNC machining, and assembly operations is highly desirable.
