About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HR professional with strong expertise in US payroll, multi-state employment compliance, and Paychex. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing HR operations across multiple US states, supporting employees throughout the employee lifecycle, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
This role requires a detail-oriented HR professional who understands payroll administration, employee relations, benefits coordination, onboarding/offboarding processes, and employment tax considerations across different states.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll & HR Operations
- Manage and support payroll processing using Paychex.
- Review payroll data for accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.
- Coordinate with employees and managers to resolve payroll-related issues.
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Support employee onboarding, offboarding, and employment changes.
Multi-State Compliance & Employment Taxes
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Understand state-specific employment laws, payroll requirements, and tax implications.
- Assist with employee registrations, tax withholding requirements, and compliance across multiple states.
- Coordinate with payroll providers and internal stakeholders regarding payroll tax matters.
- Stay current with changing employment laws and regulatory requirements.
Employee Relations & HR Support
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions related to payroll, benefits, policies, and HR processes.
- Support employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Assist managers with HR-related guidance and best practices.
- Handle confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion.
Benefits Administration
- Support employee benefits enrollment and administration.
- Coordinate with benefits providers and employees regarding eligibility, changes, and questions.
- Assist with annual enrollment activities and employee communications.
Reporting & Documentation
- Generate HR and payroll reports as needed.
- Maintain accurate employee records and audit documentation.
- Support internal and external audits related to payroll and HR compliance.
- Prepare HR metrics and reports for leadership.
Required Qualifications
- 4–8 years of HR experience supporting US-based employees.
- Hands-on experience using Paychex for payroll administration.
- Strong understanding of US payroll processes and multi-state employment compliance.
- Experience handling payroll and HR operations across multiple US states.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Experience with employee onboarding, offboarding, and HR administration.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting remote and distributed workforces across the United States.
- Knowledge of payroll tax requirements and state-specific employment regulations.
- Experience working with benefits administration.
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or equivalent) is a plus.
- Experience working in fast-paced, growth-oriented organizations.

Pay: ₹15.00 - ₹20.00 per hour
