Job Summary
The Grocery Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Grocery Department, ensuring product availability, excellent customer service, proper merchandising, inventory control, and achievement of departmental sales targets. The role involves supervising staff, maintaining store standards, and ensuring smooth department operations.
Key Responsibilities1. Department Operations
- Supervise daily grocery department activities.
- Ensure shelves are fully stocked, clean, and properly organized.
- Monitor product availability and coordinate timely replenishment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and SOPs.
- Conduct daily department inspections and briefings.
2. Inventory Management
- Monitor stock levels and prevent out-of-stock situations.
- Coordinate receiving, storage, and stock rotation (FIFO).
- Conduct periodic stock counts and inventory audits.
- Monitor slow-moving and fast-moving items.
- Minimize shrinkage, damages, and wastage.
3. Sales & Merchandising
- Achieve departmental sales and profitability targets.
- Ensure attractive product displays and planogram compliance.
- Implement promotional activities and seasonal displays.
- Monitor competitor pricing and market trends.
- Ensure accurate pricing and shelf labels.
4. Team Management
- Supervise, train, and motivate grocery staff.
- Allocate duties and monitor staff performance.
- Ensure proper staff attendance and discipline.
- Conduct on-the-job training and performance evaluations.
- Maintain a positive and productive work environment.
5. Customer Service
- Ensure excellent customer service at all times.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.
- Assist customers with product inquiries and recommendations.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
6. Hygiene, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained.
- Follow food safety and health regulations.
- Ensure staff comply with safety procedures.
- Report maintenance and safety concerns immediately.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
