Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team specializing in the design and development of bulk material handling equipment and automation. The successful candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and overseeing the manufacturing process. This role requires strong technical proficiency, creativity, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualization and Design: Develop innovative and efficient designs for bulk material handling equipment, packaging machines, Belt conveyors, Screw conveyors, hoppers & chutes
- Engineering Analysis /Calculation: Calculation and sizing of drives, bearings, pneumatic etc to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and reliability requirements, Air and power consumption calculation, Design verification and validation.
- Detail Design: Create detailed 3D models, assembly drawings, and fabrication drawings for components and assemblies, adhering to relevant industry standards and best practices.
- Material Selection and Optimization: Collaborate with the procurement team to select appropriate materials and components, considering factors such as cost, durability, and availability.
- Prototype Development: Coordinate with the prototyping and testing teams to build and evaluate prototypes, iteratively refining designs based on feedback and test results.
- Manufacturing Support: Provide technical support to the manufacturing team during production, addressing design-related issues, implementing design improvements, and ensuring quality control.
- Documentation and Compliance: Verification and Maintain accurate documentation of design specifications, drawings, test reports, and other relevant documentation. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry codes.
- Project Management: Manage design of equipment from conception to completion. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project milestones and deliverables.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in bulk material handling equipment design. Identify opportunities for innovation and process optimization.
- On-site project visits as necessary.
- Submission of weekly, monthly, and yearly reports
Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or Diploma in Mechanical engineering.
- 4 Plus years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on bulk material handling equipment or similar industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks for 3D modelling and AutoCAD for 2D drafting.
- Experience in Pneumatics actuators and controls.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes (e.g., ANSI, ASME, ISO) related to material handling equipment design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
