Job Summary:
The Commis I – Continental Cuisine is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality continental dishes while maintaining hygiene, food safety, and kitchen standards. The role involves supporting senior chefs in daily kitchen operations and ensuring consistency in food quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook continental dishes as per standard recipes and specifications.
- Ensure mise en place is prepared and maintained before service hours.
- Assist in the preparation of soups, sauces, salads, sandwiches, grills, pasta, burgers, steaks, and other continental specialties.
- Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation standards.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of food items following FIFO and FEFO practices.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, equipment, and workstations.
- Adhere to food safety standards, including HACCP and FSSAI guidelines.
- Minimize food wastage and control kitchen costs.
- Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the Sous Chef or Head Chef.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and maintained properly.
- Assist in training junior kitchen staff and Commis II/III when required.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
