Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad for a Generator Service Engineer specializing in DG Gensets (CUMMINS KT Series). The role involves performing installation, commissioning, inspection, and routine maintenance of DG gensets, with a focus on Cummins KT Series engines and associated systems. The engineer will diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues, carry out repairs and parts replacement, and ensure generators operate within specified performance parameters. Responsibilities include providing field service at customer locations, preparing service reports, maintaining accurate documentation, and coordinating with the service team and supervisors for job planning and resource allocation. The engineer will also support customers with technical guidance, follow all safety and compliance procedures on-site, and contribute to continuous improvement of service practices.
Qualifications:
Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and control systems in DG gensets, preferably with Cummins KT Series experience.
Hands-on field service experience, including on-site diagnostics, commissioning, and customer interaction at industrial or commercial sites.
Proficiency in maintenance & repair of diesel generators, including preventive maintenance, overhauling, and performance testing.
Experience in technical support, including interpreting manuals, schematics, and service bulletins, and providing clear guidance to customers and team members.
Effective communication skills for documenting service activities, explaining technical issues in simple terms, and collaborating with internal teams and clients.
Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field (or equivalent technical qualification) preferred.
Knowledge of safety standards, tools, and best practices for working with heavy equipment and high-voltage systems.
Ability to work independently in the field, manage time effectively, and adapt to varying site conditions and schedules.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally or regionally for on-site service assignments, as required.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
