Job Summary:We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Custom PC Build Engineer responsible for assembling, configuring, testing, troubleshooting, and optimizing custom-built desktop computers and high-performance workstations. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of computer hardware, component compatibility, system diagnostics, cable management, BIOS configuration, operating system installation, and hardware performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and configure custom-built PCs, workstations, gaming PCs, and high-performance systems according to customer requirements and technical specifications.
- Install and configure CPUs, motherboards, RAM, GPUs, storage devices, power supplies, cooling systems, and other hardware components.
- Verify component compatibility and ensure correct system configuration before assembly.
- Perform professional cable management and ensure proper airflow and thermal management.
- Install and configure Windows and other supported operating systems, drivers, firmware, and essential software.
- Configure BIOS/UEFI settings and perform system-level optimization.
- Conduct comprehensive quality checks and hardware testing before system delivery.
- Perform stress testing, benchmarking, thermal testing, and stability testing where required.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware failures, boot issues, overheating, performance problems, and compatibility issues.
- Handle hardware upgrades, replacements, RMA-related activities, and component-level troubleshooting.
- Maintain proper records of system configurations, component serial numbers, test results, and service activities.
- Coordinate with the service and support team to resolve customer technical issues within agreed service timelines.
- Provide technical assistance to customers regarding hardware upgrades, system performance, and maintenance.
- Ensure all systems are built and delivered according to company quality standards and customer specifications.
- Maintain proper handling, storage, and documentation of components and service parts.
- Follow ESD safety procedures and best practices while handling computer components.
- Stay updated on new processors, graphics cards, motherboards, storage technologies, cooling solutions, and emerging PC hardware trends.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Hardware, Electronics, IT, or a related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in custom PC assembly, system integration, computer hardware, or technical support.
- Strong knowledge of PC components and their compatibility.
- Hands-on experience in building and troubleshooting desktop PCs and workstations.
- Good understanding of BIOS/UEFI configuration and Windows operating systems.
- Knowledge of hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Familiarity with CPU/GPU performance, RAM configuration, storage technologies, and power supply requirements.
- Good understanding of cooling systems, thermal management, and airflow optimization.
- Knowledge of networking and basic IT infrastructure is an added advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a technical team.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.

Working Conditions:The role may involve working at the company facility, service center, or customer locations for system installation, upgrades, troubleshooting, and technical support. The engineer may occasionally be required to travel for on-site service assignments.

The candidate should be quality-conscious, systematic, and capable of delivering reliable, professionally assembled systems while meeting customer requirements and service timelines.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
