Job Summary
The Storekeeper / Store Manager is responsible for managing the complete inventory and procurement process for the outlet. This includes ordering groceries, raw materials, packaging supplies, and operational items, maintaining stock levels, coordinating with the kitchen and other departments, ensuring timely availability of materials, and minimizing wastage while maintaining accurate inventory records.
Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records for all food, beverage, packaging, and non-food items.
- Monitor daily stock levels and ensure sufficient inventory is always available.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts.
- Investigate and report inventory discrepancies or losses.
- Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) and proper stock rotation practices.
Procurement & Ordering
- Plan and place orders for groceries, raw materials, beverages, packaging materials, cleaning supplies, and other operational items.
- Coordinate with approved vendors and negotiate the best prices, quality, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure timely replenishment of stock to avoid shortages.
- Compare supplier quotations and recommend cost-effective purchasing options.
- Follow up on pending orders and deliveries.
Kitchen & Outlet Coordination
- Coordinate closely with the kitchen team to understand daily and upcoming material requirements.
- Ensure all ingredients and supplies required for production are available on time.
- Respond promptly to urgent stock requests from the kitchen and outlet.
- Communicate shortages, delays, or substitutions to the relevant departments.
Receiving & Storage
- Inspect all incoming goods for quality, quantity, expiry dates, and compliance with purchase orders.
- Ensure proper storage according to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Maintain clean, organized, and secure storage areas.
- Reject damaged or substandard goods and coordinate with suppliers for replacements.
Cost Control
- Monitor stock consumption and identify opportunities to reduce wastage.
- Track slow-moving, fast-moving, and expired items.
- Maintain food cost control through efficient inventory management.
- Prepare inventory and purchase reports for management.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain purchase orders, invoices, delivery notes, and inventory records.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, food safety regulations, and audit requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation for all stock movements.
Vendor Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, pricing, and service.
- Resolve supplier-related issues professionally and promptly.

This role serves as the central point between procurement, inventory, suppliers, and the kitchen, ensuring uninterrupted operations, optimal stock levels, and cost-effective purchasing for the outlet.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
