A Global Pricing Specialist for Air Imports in the freight forwarding industry bridges the gap between airlines and internal sales teams. They negotiate competitive buy rates, calculate total landed costs, and prepare fast, accurate quotations for inbound international shipments while maximizing company profit margins
Key Responsibilities
- Rate Negotiation: Secure the best "buy rates," block space allocations, and volume discounts directly with airlines and consolidators.
- Quotation Generation: Respond promptly to customer RFQs (Requests for Quotations) and tenders, and generate highly competitive spot quotes for sales teams.
- Cost Optimization: Calculate total landed costs by factoring in ocean/air freight, local terminal handling fees, customs clearance, and inland transport.
- Market Monitoring: Continuously track General Rate Increases (GRI), Peak Season Surcharges (PSS), fuel surcharges, and competitor pricing.
- Internal Collaboration: Advise and support the sales network on profitable trade lanes, routing options, and strategic account pitches.
Core Requirements
- Education: Degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Administration.
- Experience: 1–5+ years in freight forwarding, specifically focused on air freight operations or procurement.
- Skills: Strong numerical ability, high commercial acumen, advanced MS Excel, and excellent vendor negotiation skills.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
