You Are
You are an experienced Workday Integrations professional with deep expertise in the US Benefits domain and a proven track record of delivering complex, enterprise-grade integrations. You thrive in environments that require independence, critical thinking, and proactive communication. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity, rapidly understanding business requirements, and delivering high-quality Workday integration solutions with minimal guidance while maintaining strong documentation and governance standards.
The Opportunity
As a Workday Benefits Integrations Developer, you will:
- Lead the end-to-end design, development, testing, and deployment of Workday integrations for pharmacy benefits (Rx) and Life Insurance Evidence of Insurability (EOI) vendors.
- Develop and configure integrations using Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIBs, RaaS, Web Services, XSLT, Complex Calculated Fields, and related Workday technologies.
- Create detailed integration specifications, field mappings, technical designs, testing documentation, and deployment artifacts throughout the integration lifecycle.
- Configure and manage integration security users, security groups, authentication protocols, and OAuth 2.0 connections in alignment with security and compliance standards.
- Troubleshoot integration failures, perform root cause analysis, recommend solutions, and communicate findings effectively to technical and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with HR, Benefits, Technology teams, and external benefit vendors while driving best practices for long-term integration stability, scalability, and supportability.
What You Need
- At least 5 years of hands-on Workday Integration development experience.
- Strong expertise in the US Benefits domain with direct experience supporting benefit vendor integrations.
- Experience building integrations for Pharmacy Benefits (Rx) vendors and/or Life Insurance providers, including Evidence of Insurability (EOI) processes preferred.
- Advanced proficiency with Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIB, RaaS, Workday Web Services, and Complex Calculated Fields.
- Experience creating custom reports and calculated fields to support complex integration requirements.
- Strong knowledge of XML, JSON, XSLT, XSD, XML namespaces, and data transformation methodologies.
- Experience working with SOAP and REST APIs, including OAuth 2.0 authentication mechanisms.
- Expertise configuring Workday integration security users and security groups following least-privilege security principles.
- Proven ability to independently manage complex projects, gather requirements, resolve ambiguities, and deliver solutions with minimal supervision.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience creating detailed technical documentation, decision logs, testing evidence, and production support documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience implementing integrations for US Healthcare, Benefits Administration, Life Insurance, or Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) organizations.
- Experience supporting complex benefits enrollment and eligibility integrations.
- Familiarity with Workday Benefits administration and related business processes.
- Experience designing scalable Workday integration architectures in enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of auditing, compliance, and security best practices within Workday.
