Mechanical Site Engineer bridges the gap between design and physical execution. They are responsible for supervising the installation, testing, and maintenance of mechanical systems (such as HVAC, plumbing, or industrial machinery), ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and according to engineering standards.Core ResponsibilitiesSite Supervision: Oversee the erection, installation, and commissioning of mechanical equipment, piping, and utility systems.Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret technical blueprints, layout drawings, and schematics to ensure exact on-site execution.Quality & Compliance: Conduct regular inspections to ensure all mechanical installations meet industry standards, safety protocols, and project specifications.Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical or mechanical issues in real-time to minimize equipment downtime.Team Coordination: Liaise with project managers, contractors, suppliers, and labor teams to ensure a steady workflow and material availability.Reporting: Document daily site progress, material usage, and testing/commissioning reports.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.Technical Skills: Proficiency in drafting and modeling tools like AutoCAD, and understanding of systems (e.g., pumps, conveyors, compressors, HVAC, or DG Sets).Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving, team leadership, and the ability to work collaboratively in dynamic environments.Safety & Health Knowledge: A deep understanding of occupational health and safety (OSHA) regulations and hazard management.
