Position Offered: Purchase Manager

Job Summary:
The Purchase Manager for our EPC projects will oversee and manage the procurement process for all materials, equipment, and services required for our engineering, procurement, and construction projects. This role involves strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality goods and services in alignment with project requirements and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and implement procurement strategies that support project goals and company objectives.
· Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
· Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favourable contracts and pricing.
· Prepare and review contracts, purchase orders, and other procurement documents.
· Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
· Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or service.
· Collaborate with project managers and engineers to determine procurement needs and timelines.
· Develop procurement plans and schedules to align with project milestones and deadlines.
· Analyze market trends and pricing to ensure competitive procurement practices.
· Implement cost-saving measures and strategies without compromising quality or project requirements.
· Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
· Identify and mitigate procurement risks, including supply chain disruptions and vendor performance issues.
· Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier communications.
· Prepare and present procurement reports and updates to senior management.
· Ensure proper rate enquiry, negotiation, work order generation is done timely.
· Ensure proper tracking of goods are done on daily basis and prepare & maintain records of all inwards accordingly.
· Ensure to prepare proper E-waybills based on DC and maintain proper records accordingly.
· Ensure smooth payment process.
· Ensure to collect & reconcile empty drums from customers and plant.
· Supervise and mentor procurement staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Diploma Mechanical, B E Mechanical
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the EPC sector.
- Proven track record in managing procurement for large-scale engineering and construction projects.
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., ERP systems).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of procurement processes and best practices.
- Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements in the EPC sector.
- Knowledge of market trends and supplier landscape relevant to EPC projects.
