Job Summary
We are looking for a certified and motivated Weight Training Coach to guide clients in strength training, bodybuilding, and functional fitness programs. The ideal candidate will design personalized training plans, teach proper lifting techniques, and motivate clients to achieve their strength and fitness goals safely and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial fitness assessments and evaluate clients’ strength levels, goals, and limitations
- Design and implement individualized weight training programs for strength, hypertrophy, endurance, or functional fitness
- Teach proper lifting techniques for free weights, machines, and bodyweight exercises
- Monitor client progress and adjust programs as needed
- Provide guidance on nutrition and recovery strategies
- Maintain safety standards and ensure proper equipment usage
- Lead group weight training or strength-focused classes, if required
- Build strong relationships with clients to encourage retention and motivation
Required Qualifications
- Certified Personal Trainer or Strength & Conditioning Coach (NASM, ACE, ISSA, CSCS, or equivalent)
- CPR/AED certification
- Strong knowledge of exercise science, anatomy, and strength training techniques
- Excellent motivational and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience coaching clients in strength training, bodybuilding, or functional fitness
- Experience with advanced lifting techniques and periodized training programs
- Knowledge of sports performance and corrective exercise
- Ability to conduct small group training sessions
- Sales or client acquisition experience
Work Environment
- Gym, fitness center, or private training facility
- Physically active role requiring demonstration of exercises and use of weights and equipment
