Head Legal (Affordable Housing)
Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra
Role Overview:
Lead the Legal function for the Affordable Housing business, ensuring legal compliance, property due diligence, documentation, litigation management, and regulatory governance.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop legal strategy, policies, and governance for Affordable Housing.
· Oversee property title verification, due diligence, and mortgage documentation.
· Ensure compliance with RBI, NHB, RERA, SARFAESI, and other applicable laws.
· Manage litigation, recovery matters, external advocates, and legal vendors.
· Support Credit, Risk, Sales, Operations, and Product teams on legal matters.
· Identify legal risks and implement mitigation measures.
· Build and lead the Legal team; develop SOPs and training.
Qualifications & Experience:
· LL.B. required; LL.M. preferred.
· 12–18 years of legal experience in Housing Finance/Banks/NBFCs.
· Minimum 5 years in Affordable Housing or Retail Mortgage legal functions.
Pay: ₹4,000,000.00 - ₹4,500,000.00 per year
