Job Summary
Veltech Forging Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and skilled VMC Machining Operator to operate and monitor Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines for machining forged components while ensuring quality, productivity, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate VMC machines for machining of forged components as per drawings and process sheets.
- Perform machine setup, tool offset setting, and job loading/unloading.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, process plans, and work instructions.
- Conduct first-piece inspection and in-process quality checks using measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, etc.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy and maintain product quality standards.
- Monitor machine performance and report any abnormalities or maintenance requirements.
- Maintain production records, inspection reports, and machine log sheets.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production departments to achieve production targets.
- Follow TPM, 5S, safety standards, and company policies.
- Minimize rejection, rework, and machine downtime.
- Ensure proper housekeeping in the work area.
Educational Qualification
- ITI (Machinist/Turner/Fitter) / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
Experience Required
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in operating VMC machines, preferably in a forging or automotive component manufacturing industry.
- Experience in machining forged components will be preferred.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of VMC machine operation and basic programming understanding.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T basics.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, fixtures, and machining parameters.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments and quality inspection methods.
- Basic understanding of CNC controls such as Fanuc, Siemens, or Mitsubishi.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work in shifts.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
