Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimation Engineer to prepare accurate cost estimates for architectural, interior fit-out, and renovation projects. The candidate will be responsible for quantity take-offs, cost analysis, vendor coordination, BOQ preparation, and supporting the sales and project execution teams during tendering and project planning stages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Study architectural, interior, and construction drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Prepare detailed BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and cost estimates for interior fit-out and architectural projects.
- Perform quantity take-offs for civil, carpentry, modular furniture, electrical, plumbing, ceiling, flooring, painting, and finishing works.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Prepare project budgets, rate analyses, and tender documents.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and project execution teams for cost validation.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
- Monitor market rates of materials, labor, and subcontract works.
- Assist the sales team in preparing project proposals and client quotations.
- Maintain estimation records, cost databases, and project cost histories.
- Support project handover by providing detailed cost breakups and BOQs.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in estimation for architectural and interior projects.
- Strong understanding of interior materials, finishes, furniture, and construction methods.
- Ability to interpret architectural and interior drawings accurately.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying techniques.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in residential villas, apartments, commercial interiors, and turnkey projects.
- Knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management.
- Familiarity with ERP/project management software.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
