Job Title: HMV Driver (Heavy Motor Vehicle Driver)

Job Summary:
Responsible for operating Heavy Motor Vehicles for transportation of construction materials, equipment, machinery, aggregates, concrete, and other project-related resources to and from construction sites while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project schedules. The role also includes vehicle inspection, maintenance checks, and adherence to site safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy vehicles such as tippers, dumpers, trailers, water tankers, transit mixers, and flatbed trucks.
- Transport construction materials, machinery, and equipment between project sites and designated locations.
- Conduct daily pre-start and post-shift vehicle inspections.
- Ensure vehicle roadworthiness, including checking brakes, tires, lights, fuel, engine oil, and hydraulic systems.
- Follow site traffic management plans and safety procedures.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials and ensure loads are properly secured.
- Maintain trip sheets, fuel records, logbooks, and vehicle inspection reports.
- Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, storekeepers, and logistics teams.
- Report accidents, breakdowns, defects, or unsafe conditions immediately.
- Ensure compliance with Motor Vehicle Rules, company policies, and EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) requirements.
Qualification & Experience
- Minimum 10th Pass.
- Valid HMV Driving License.
- 3–5 years of experience driving heavy vehicles in construction, infrastructure, mining, or EPC projects.
- Experience operating tippers, trailers, transit mixers, water tankers, or similar construction vehicles preferred.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and road safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Safe driving and defensive driving practices.
- Knowledge of construction site safety requirements.
- Basic vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Route planning and time management.
- Ability to work in remote project locations and rotational shifts.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
