Job Summary:
The CNC Operator is responsible for operating CNC machines to manufacture precision components according to engineering drawings, production schedules, and quality standards. The role includes loading materials, monitoring machine operations, performing basic inspections, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC lathes, milling machines, machining centers, or other CNC equipment.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished parts.
- Start, monitor, and stop machine operations according to work instructions.
- Perform basic machine setup and tool offset adjustments as instructed.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and work instructions.
- Inspect machined parts using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and gauges.
- Ensure parts meet dimensional and quality specifications.
- Report machine malfunctions, tool wear, or quality issues to the CNC Setter or Supervisor.
- Replace worn cutting tools and perform routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance.
- Record production data, inspection results, and machine downtime.
- Follow workplace safety procedures, 5S practices, and company quality standards.
- Work closely with setters, programmers, quality inspectors, and supervisors to achieve production targets.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma, ITI, Diploma, or equivalent technical qualification.
- Basic knowledge of CNC machining processes.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand machining instructions.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments.
- Basic understanding of machine controls such as Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, Mitsubishi, or Mazatrol.
- Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay: ₹11,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
