1) Educational Qualification:- Chartered Accountant (CA) — mandatory
Additional qualification such as CMA or MBA (Finance) — preferred but not essential
2) Experience:- 8–15 years of post-qualification experience, with a substantial part of it in the manufacturing sector (mandatory) Minimum 3–4 years in a senior finance role in a manufacturing company Strong preference for candidates from the steel, engineering products, pipes/fittings, forging, or heavy fabrication industries Experience in an export-oriented company is essential Experience working in a promoter-driven / family-managed business environment is strongly preferred Experience managing finance across multiple group entities (manufacturing + trading) is an advantage.
3) Key Responsibilities:-
Cost Accounting (Key Focus Area) Detailed cost accounting for every project and every item manufactured — material, labour, overheads, and job work Project-wise and item-wise profitability analysis to support pricing and quotation decisions Regular cost reports to management with variance analysis against estimates Financial Control & Reporting Ownership of accounting, monthly closing, and group-level MIS for management review Inventory valuation and control in coordination with stores and production Payroll & Loan Management End-to-end payroll handling for staff and factory workers, including PF, ESI, and related statutory compliance Managing all company loans — sourcing, application, documentation, negotiation of terms, and repayment tracking Government Schemes & Incentives Proactively identifying central and state government schemes, subsidies, and incentives applicable to the company (MSME schemes, capital subsidy, interest subvention, export incentives, etc.) Preparing and filing applications and following up till benefits are received Banking & Working Capital Managing relationships with banks; negotiating CC limits, term loans, LCs, and bank guarantees Working capital planning — debtors, creditors, and inventory cycle management Cash flow forecasting and fund planning Export & Trade Finance Handling packing credit, LC negotiation/discounting, and forex exposure management Export incentives and schemes — RoDTEP, duty drawback, EPCG, and related documentation Taxation & Compliance GST, TDS, income tax, and other statutory compliance across group entities Handling departmental notices, assessments, and coordination with consultants/auditors Inter-company transactions and transfer pricing hygiene between group companies Commercial & Strategic Support Client credit assessment and credit control Support in vendor negotiations and major procurement decisions Budgeting, cost-control initiatives, and support for expansion/new project evaluation Candidate Profile Hands-on leader capable of building and strengthening systems (MIS, budgeting, credit control), not only reviewing them Practical, solution-oriented approach to compliance and banking matters Strong commercial acumen; comfortable participating in business decisions beyond core finance Willing to be based full-time at Howrah/Kolkata Able to lead and develop a small in-house accounts team
Pay: ₹75,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
