A well-established CBSE K-12 institution in the Chandigarh Tricity region is seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Director – School Operations & Growth to lead the next phase of institutional transformation and sustainable growth.
This is a high-impact leadership role for a seasoned education leader who combines academic understanding with strong operational, financial, and stakeholder management capabilities.

About the Role
The school has strong infrastructure, stable admissions, sound financials, and a loyal community base. The mandate over the next 24 months is to transition the institution from a founder-led model to a professionally managed, systems-driven organization.
The Director will have full operational responsibility across:
- Academics
- Admissions
- Marketing
- Human Resources
- Finance
- Parent Engagement
- Facilities & Administration
The Principal and all key functional leaders will report into this position.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic & Operational Leadership
- Lead a 150+ member staff team serving a 1,500+ student community from Pre-Nursery to Class XII.
- Drive academic excellence, operational discipline, faculty quality, and parent satisfaction.
- Establish scalable systems, governance frameworks, SOPs, reporting dashboards, and accountability mechanisms.
Growth & Institutional Development
- Strengthen market positioning and brand reputation.
- Improve admissions performance and enrollment growth.
- Expand academic and co-curricular offerings.
- Optimize marketing investments and conversion funnels.
Financial & Business Management
- Own P&L performance, budgeting, surplus targets, and cash-flow planning.
- Review and improve operational efficiency across staffing, transportation, procurement, vendor management, and contracts.
- Redirect savings into initiatives that enhance academic and service quality.
Stakeholder & Community Relations
- Serve as the primary representative of the institution with parents, regulators, education bodies, media, and community stakeholders.
- Build productive relationships with CBSE, district administration, police, fire services, RTO, municipal authorities, and local leadership.
Crisis Management
- Lead institutional responses to operational crises, inspections, safety incidents, parent escalations, vendor disputes, and regulatory matters.
- Ensure issues are resolved proactively while protecting the institution's reputation.
Ideal Candidate ProfileExperience
- 15+ years in education leadership.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role within a CBSE/ICSE school with 1,000+ students.
- Prior experience as Director, Principal-Director, CEO, or equivalent leadership role.

Education
- Postgraduate degree mandatory.
- M.Ed., B.Ed., or Ph.D. in Education preferred.
- MBA or equivalent management qualification is a strong advantage.
