Job Summary
The Hostel Warden is responsible for ensuring the safety, security, discipline, welfare, and overall well-being of students residing in the school hostel. The Warden creates a positive, caring, and disciplined residential environment that supports students' academic, personal, and social development.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of all hostel residents at all times.
- Maintain discipline and enforce hostel rules, regulations, and code of conduct.
- Supervise students' daily routines, including wake-up, study hours, meals, recreation, and bedtime.
- Monitor students' attendance and maintain accurate hostel records.
- Conduct regular room inspections to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and proper maintenance.
- Address students' personal, emotional, and behavioral concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Coordinate with parents regarding students' welfare, health, and disciplinary matters.
- Liaise with school management, teachers, transport, and administrative departments for smooth hostel operations.
- Ensure nutritious meals are served as per the approved menu and maintain dining discipline.
- Oversee housekeeping, laundry, sanitation, and hostel maintenance services.
- Coordinate medical care for students, maintain health records, and respond promptly to emergencies.
- Ensure compliance with fire safety, emergency procedures, and child protection policies.
- Organize recreational, cultural, and life-skill activities for hostel students.
- Maintain inventory of hostel assets, furniture, linen, and supplies.
- Prepare periodic reports on hostel operations, student behavior, attendance, and incidents.
- Handle admissions, room allotment, and orientation of new hostel students.
- Monitor visitors and ensure adherence to visitor policies and security protocols.
- Resolve conflicts among students fairly and maintain a harmonious hostel environment.
- Ensure students follow academic schedules and provide a conducive atmosphere for study.
- Perform night rounds and remain available to handle emergencies at any time.
- Support the school's vision, values, and policies while fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive residential community.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (Master's degree preferred).
- Experience as a Hostel Warden, Residential Care Supervisor, or similar role in a school or educational institution.
- Knowledge of child safety, adolescent psychology, hostel administration, and emergency response procedures.
- Strong leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, email, hostel management software).

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
