About the Role
As Clinical Deputy Manager, you'll play a key leadership role within the home, working closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the highest standards of clinical care, compliance and resident wellbeing.
You'll provide day-to-day clinical leadership, support and develop the nursing team, and help create a positive culture where colleagues feel valued and residents receive exceptional care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Registered Manager with the day-to-day leadership and management of the home.
- Leading and coordinating the nursing team to deliver outstanding person-centred care.
- Promoting dignity, independence, privacy and choice for every resident.
- Providing clinical leadership, mentoring and supervision to the nursing team.
- Maintaining high standards of clinical governance, compliance and quality.
- Taking lead responsibility for Infection Prevention and Control, including audits and continuous improvement.
- Building positive relationships with residents, families, GPs and external healthcare professionals.
- Supporting recruitment, induction and development of new colleagues.
- Conducting supervision, probation reviews and annual appraisals.
- Helping to foster a culture of engagement, learning and continuous improvement.
- Acting as the senior leader within the home in the Registered Manager's absence.
