Job Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, technically strong, and proactive Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. The role involves 3D design, prototype development, manufacturing support, and coordination with vendors and internal teams. The candidate will work on innovative mechanical systems and products and will gain exposure to international projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
- Develop mechanical designs for components, systems, and assemblies based on project requirements.
- Work closely with vendors for manufacturing of parts and ensure timely development of components.
- Possess hands-on knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, sheet metal, casting, and assembly.
- Coordinate prototype manufacturing, testing, validation, and performance analysis.
- Support the complete manufacturing cycle to ensure design specifications and quality standards are achieved.
- Identify issues during manufacturing, assembly, or testing and recommend practical design improvements.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, vendors, and project managers to achieve project objectives.
- Prepare and maintain detailed operational procedures, technical documents, BOMs, and design records.
- Research competitor products and emerging technologies to generate ideas for design improvement and innovation.
- Apply engineering principles related to machine design, engineering mechanics, linkages, and mechanisms in product development.
- Participate in design reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in SolidWorks or any equivalent CAD software.
- Good understanding of 3D modelling, drafting, GD&T, and engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and experience working with multiple vendors.
- Sound understanding of engineering mechanics, machine design, linkages, and mechanisms.
- Ability to analyze manufacturing and design issues and provide effective solutions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
Additional Requirements
- Candidate must have their own laptop.
- Candidate must have their own bike for local travel and vendor visits.
- Candidate should be able to commute to Shivaji Nagar, Pune, or be willing to relocate before joining.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
