Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily production activities, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining product quality, food safety, machine efficiency, and compliance with GMP, FSSAI, and company standards. The role also involves managing manpower, reducing wastage, and improving productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production operations and ensure production targets are met.
- Allocate manpower effectively across production lines.
- Monitor machine utilization and coordinate with the Maintenance team to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, hygiene, food safety, and FSSAI requirements.
- Maintain production records, shift reports, and daily output reports.
- Monitor raw material consumption and reduce wastage.
- Ensure products meet quality specifications before dispatch.
- Train operators and helpers on SOPs, safety practices, and production processes.
- Coordinate with Quality, Warehouse, Maintenance, and Stores departments.
- Investigate production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safety standards.
- Maintain housekeeping and implement 5S on the shop floor.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce costs.
Qualifications
- MSc in food science mandatory
- 0–1 years of experience as a Production Supervisor in an FMCG/Food Manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, FSSAI, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing is preferred.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
