About the Role
We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer with deep expertise in test automation to join our growing QA team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining automation frameworks that validate our CPaaS platforms, eSIM workflows, and telecom billing systems.
This is a high-impact senior role where you will own the quality of complex telecom flows end-to-end, mentor junior engineers, and work closely with DevOps to embed quality into CI/CD pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
Automation Framework & Test Development
- Design and maintain robust automation frameworks for mobile applications and CPaaS platforms.
- Develop automated test scripts for eSIM workflows:
- Activation, provisioning, and profile download flows.
- End-to-end eSIM lifecycle test coverage.
- Develop automated test scripts for CPaaS modules:
- SMS, Voice, Number Management, and Billing.
- Webhook, callback, and async event validation.
End-to-End Telecom Flow Testing
- Perform end-to-end testing of telecom flows including:
- Number purchase, assignment, renewal, and suspension.
- Wallet recharge, billing, and invoice generation.
- Validate API integrations for telecom services using Postman and RestAssured.
- Ensure seamless validation of webhooks, callbacks, and async events.
CI/CD & DevOps Integration
- Work closely with DevOps to integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines.
- Maintain stable, fast, and reliable automated regression suites for continuous releases.
- Monitor and triage test failures in pipeline runs and drive quick resolution.
Database & Backend Validation
- Perform database validation using MySQL/PostgreSQL for telecom transactions.
- Verify data integrity across billing, number inventory, and provisioning records.
Defect Management & Collaboration
- Identify, log, and track defects using JIRA; ensure timely closure and resolution.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives, daily stand-ups).
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Dev, Product, and DevOps.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and drive QA best practices across the team.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in software QA with a strong focus on automation.
- Minimum 3-4 years working on automation frameworks (Selenium, Appium, or equivalent).
- Experience in telecom, CPaaS domain is highly preferred.
Automation & Testing Tools
- Proficiency in test automation frameworks: Selenium WebDriver, Appium (mobile).
- Strong experience with API testing tools: Postman and Rest Assured.
- Experience with CI/CD integration: Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Hands-on with JIRA for defect tracking and test management.
- Familiarity with TestNG, JUnit, or Pytest for test execution.
Technical Skills
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript for writing test scripts.
- Database validation experience: MySQL and/or PostgreSQL.
- Understanding of REST API architecture, JSON, and HTTP methods.
- Knowledge of telecom protocols and workflows: SMS, Voice, number lifecycle.
- Familiarity with eSIM/eUICC provisioning concepts is a strong plus.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to mentor, guide, and review work of junior QA engineers.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Self-driven and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Good to Have
- Knowledge of SMS, SMS Hubbing, SMPP, CPaaS billing systems, invoicing, and wallet management.
- Experience with performance/load testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, or Locust).
- Exposure to mobile test automation on Android/iOS using Appium.
- Familiarity with observability stacks: Grafana, ELK, or Prometheus.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent QA certification.
Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
