We are looking for an experienced professional with strong expertise in gear manufacturing to oversee our gear production operations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in CNC Gear Hobbing, Gear Shaping, and Conventional Gear Hobbing machines. The candidate will be responsible for machine setup, process control, tooling management, operator training, and quality assurance for gear components.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and optimize components on CNC Gear Hobbing, Gear Shaping, and Conventional Gear Hobbing machines.
- Select, set, and maintain hobs, cutters, fixtures, and tooling.
- Maintain tooling records, machine parameters, and production documentation.
- Develop and standardize machine setup procedures.
- Train operators and shop-floor workers on machine operation, setup, safety, and best manufacturing practices.
- Supervise daily gear manufacturing activities to ensure production targets are achieved.
- Monitor gear quality and ensure compliance with customer drawing specifications.
- Investigate and resolve gear-related quality issues, customer complaints, and internal rejections.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance departments to improve productivity and reduce defects.
- Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce tooling costs.
- Ensure proper preventive maintenance practices for gear cutting machines.
Required Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in gear manufacturing.
- Strong practical knowledge of:
- CNC Gear Hobbing Machines
- Gear Shaping Machines
- Conventional Gear Hobbing Machines
- Experience in machine setup and process optimization.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and gear specifications.
- Good understanding of gear inspection methods and quality standards.
- Experience in handling customer quality complaints and implementing corrective actions.
- Strong leadership and training skills.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of gear manufacturing processes and tooling.
- Experience with gear inspection instruments.
- Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to independently manage gear production activities.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Compensation
- Salary: ₹30,000 per month (CTC), inclusive of HRA and Bonus.
