Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Business Development Manager to drive business growth in the Freight Forwarding sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and expanding the company's customer base through strategic sales initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and acquire new business opportunities in Freight Forwarding, Logistics, and Supply Chain services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, shipping lines, agents, transporters, and business partners.
- Understand customer requirements and provide customized logistics and freight solutions.
- Prepare and present business proposals, quotations, and service presentations.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets and contribute to company revenue growth.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging business opportunities.
- Coordinate with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Follow up on inquiries, negotiate contracts, and close business deals.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and ensure long-term client retention.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and business forecasts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in Freight Forwarding, Shipping, Logistics, or CHA industry.
- Strong knowledge of Ocean Freight, Air Freight, and Logistics services.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong client-handling and relationship-management abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
- Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.
