About the Role
We are seeking a driven ESG professional to lead our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives across India operations, including manufacturing and corporate functions. This role will focus on strengthening compliance, enhancing ESG reporting, and driving sustainability initiatives aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesESG Strategy & Governance
- Drive and implement ESG strategy across India operations.
- Establish ESG frameworks, policies, and KPIs aligned with ISO standards, CIBJO Blue List, and Indian regulations.
- Integrate ESG principles into day-to-day business operations.
Reporting & Compliance
- Lead preparation of BRSR and GRI disclosures.
- Ensure accurate ESG data collection, validation, and reporting across units.
- Maintain compliance with SEBI and other applicable environmental regulations.
Climate & Sustainability Initiatives
- Support the organization’s Net Zero journey through renewable energy adoption (e.g., solar) and energy efficiency programs.
- Track carbon footprint and implement emissions reduction initiatives.
- Develop practical decarbonization plans for facilities.
Operational Sustainability
- Conduct site-level assessments at Sitapura and other locations to identify improvement areas.
- Implement initiatives in water conservation, waste management, and resource optimization.
- Drive continuous improvement in environmental performance.
Training & Stakeholder Engagement
- Deliver ESG awareness programs for employees and teams.
- Coordinate with leadership and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on ESG goals.
- Prepare clear ESG communication for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in ESG, sustainability, or EHS roles within India.
- Experience with BRSR reporting; familiarity with GRI preferred.
- Knowledge of Indian regulatory requirements (SEBI, environmental laws).
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors preferred.
- Preferred: Knowledge of Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) standards and compliance requirements.
- Preferred: Experience or familiarity with ESG and compliance practices in the diamond and jewellery industry.
