About the role:
The individual is expected to manage the sourcing process and ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of raw materials and packing materials, evaluating suppliers, qualify suppliers, negotiating contracts, and maintain optimal inventory levels to support the organization’s operational needs.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing the procurement of raw materials, packing materials, and services for the company.
- Sourcing and evaluating suppliers to ensure the best quality and price for goods and services.
- Evaluating vendors & negotiating the price, delivery schedule and terms and conditions with them.
- Prepare RFQ’s, get rate quotation from vendors & create a comparison sheet for best rate, best quality and best lead time.
- Implement and maintain effective purchase documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, supplier agreements, and price lists.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and incorporate them into sourcing strategies.
- Regular follow up with Vendors for all purchase activities & urgently required materials.
- Regular Follow up with accounts department for timely clearance of payments.
- Monitor inventory levels to optimize inventory management and minimize stockouts or excess inventory.
Job Specification:
1. Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations within the Nutrition sector.
2. Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory requirements related to Nutrition and Pharmaceutical procurement.
3. Strong negotiation skills.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Pre-requisites:
Qualification: Any UG/ PG (Relevant Degree)
Experience: 2-3 years of relevant experience in Purchase of similar materials.
