Responsibilities:
- Surgical Setup:Prepare and set up the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available
- Sterilize and arrange surgical instruments in accordance with protocols
- Assistance During Surgery:Assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures, anticipating their needs and providing necessary instruments and supplies
- Maintain a sterile field and adhere to aseptic techniques throughout the surgery
- Instrument Care and Maintenance:Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment after each procedure
- Ensure proper functioning of equipment and report any malfunctions for timely maintenance
- Patient Preparation:Assist in positioning and preparing patients for surgery, ensuring their comfort and safety
- Collaborate with the surgical team to address patient needs during the perioperative period
- Supply Management:Monitor and manage surgical supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper organization
- Collaborate with the central sterile services department for inventory control
- Emergency Response:Be prepared to assist in emergency situations by providing required instruments and equipment promptly
- Follow established protocols for responding to critical incidents in the operating theatre
- Documentation:Maintain accurate and detailed records of surgical procedures, including instrument counts and relevant data
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of any issues or incidents during surgeries
- Communication and Collaboration:Communicate effectively with the surgical team, including surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
