The Technical Lead – Data Migration is responsible for leading the technical planning, design, and execution of data migration activities across enterprise systems. The role ensures secure, accurate, and timely migration of data while guiding teams on architecture, tools, and best practices during transformation or system implementation programs.

Analyze source and target systems, data models, and data dependencies

Design and oversee ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading

Establish data mapping, validation rules, and reconciliation processes

Lead multiple migration cycles including mock runs, dress rehearsals, and final cutover

Ensure data quality, integrity, completeness, and security throughout migration

Collaborate with application, testing, architecture, and business teams

Identify and mitigate technical risks, issues, and dependencies

Review and approve technical designs, scripts, and migration plans

Support UAT and production data validation and sign‑off

Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to team members

Relevant certifications are a plus (Data Management, ETL, Cloud platforms)
