About the Company
Onwords Automation Private Limited is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented 2D Draftsman to join our engineering/design team in Coimbatore.
Job Summary
We are seeking a 2D Draftsman to prepare accurate technical drawings and layouts based on specifications provided by engineers and designers. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with 2D CAD software and a strong understanding of engineering drawing standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed 2D drawings, layouts, and diagrams using AutoCAD or similar software
- Convert design concepts and sketches into precise technical drawings
- Prepare and update drawings for mechanical/electrical/civil components as required
- Ensure drawings comply with company standards, codes, and specifications
- Coordinate with design engineers to understand project requirements
- Make revisions to drawings based on feedback and design changes
- Maintain proper documentation and version control of all drawings
- Check drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards
- Assist in preparing Bill of Materials (BOM) where required
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma / ITI in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (or related field)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory); knowledge of SolidWorks or other CAD tools is a plus
- Good understanding of engineering drawing principles, dimensioning, and tolerances
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing/automation processes preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Experience
- 0–3 years of experience in 2D drafting (Freshers with strong CAD skills may also apply)
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per hour
