A Restaurant Cashier is responsible for handling billing, cash transactions, and providing courteous customer service while ensuring accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process customer bills accurately.
- Receive payments by cash, card, UPI, or other payment methods.
- Issue receipts and maintain cash register records.
- Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Handle refunds, discounts, and void bills as per company policy.
- Coordinate with service staff and kitchen for billing-related issues.
- Answer customer queries regarding bills and payments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier counter.
- Prepare daily cash collection and sales reports.
- Follow company policies on cash handling and fraud prevention.
Skills Required
- Basic accounting and numerical skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of POS (Point of Sale) systems.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and in shifts.
- Honesty, integrity, and a professional attitude.
Qualification
- 10+2 or any graduate (preferred).
- Experience as a cashier in a restaurant, hotel, or retail outlet is an advantage.
- Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with POS software.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
