Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to manage and execute engineering projects related to foundry equipment manufacturing, heavy fabrication, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in mechanical engineering, project execution, fabrication processes, vendor coordination, and customer management. The role involves overseeing projects from design through manufacturing, quality assurance, installation, and commissioning while ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute mechanical engineering projects from concept to completion.
- Manage projects involving:
- Manufacturing of foundry equipment
- Heavy fabrication structures and assemblies
- Pressure vessels
- Heat exchangers
- Process equipment and industrial machinery
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with design, production, procurement, quality, and site teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Conduct technical discussions with customers, consultants, and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry codes and standards such as ASME, TEMA, IS, ASTM, and customer specifications.
- Support fabrication planning, welding procedures, material selection, and manufacturing processes.
- Monitor manufacturing progress and resolve technical issues during production.
- Participate in inspections, testing, FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), and commissioning activities.
- Prepare project documentation, progress reports, technical submittals, and closure reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5–12 years of relevant experience in project engineering and execution.
Mandatory Experience
Candidates must have hands-on experience in at least one of the following industries:
- Manufacturing of foundry equipment and systems.
- Heavy fabrication and structural manufacturing.
- Manufacturing of pressure vessels.
- Manufacturing of shell & tube heat exchangers.
- Process equipment manufacturing for industrial plants.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of fabrication, welding, machining, and manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of pressure vessel and heat exchanger design/manufacturing standards.
- Ability to read and interpret GA drawings, fabrication drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
- Experience with project planning and monitoring tools.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and exposure to 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or Creo.

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
