The Garment Quality Controller (QC) is responsible for ensuring that garments meet the company's quality standards and buyer specifications at every stage of production. The role involves conducting fabric, in-line, finishing, and final inspections, identifying defects, coordinating corrective actions, and ensuring only approved products are dispatched to customers.
Key Responsibilities:1. Fabric & Trims Inspection
- Inspect incoming fabrics, trims, labels, and accessories.
- Identify fabric defects, shade variation, GSM issues, and damage.
- Ensure materials match approved samples and buyer specifications.
2. In-Line Quality Inspection
- Conduct regular quality checks during cutting, stitching, embroidery, printing, and finishing.
- Verify garment measurements and workmanship.
- Ensure proper stitching quality, SPI (Stitches Per Inch), seam strength, and thread quality.
- Identify defects and communicate corrective actions to production teams immediately.
3. Final Inspection
- Perform final inspection before packing and dispatch.
- Check:
- Measurements
- Stitching quality
- Fabric defects
- Colour matching
- Loose threads
- Embroidery/Print quality
- Labels & Tags
- Packing standards
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily QC inspection reports.
- Record defects and rejection percentages.
- Prepare corrective action reports.
- Track recurring quality issues and recommend preventive measures.
5. Coordination
- Coordinate with Production, Merchandising, Sampling, and Finishing teams.
- Assist in resolving quality-related issues without affecting delivery timelines.
- Ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.
6. Process Improvement
- Monitor defect trends.
- Suggest improvements to reduce rework, rejection, and customer complaints.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Pay: ₹8,800.86 - ₹25,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Rakhial, Ahmedabad, Gujarat: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience:
- QC: 1 year (Preferred)
- Garment: 1 year (Preferred)
