About the Role
Hertz Inspection and Services Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Manager – CGD Projects to lead and manage Third-Party Inspection (TPI) activities for City Gas Distribution (CGD) projects. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience working with a Third-Party Inspection Agency (TPIA) in CGD projects involving steel, MDPE, and GI pipeline inspection, quality assurance, and project coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Third-Party Inspection activities for City Gas Distribution (CGD) projects.
- Supervise inspection of Steel, MDPE, and GI pipeline installation works.
- Ensure compliance with PNGRB standards, project specifications, applicable codes, and client requirements.
- Prepare and review Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), quality documentation, and inspection reports.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and project teams to resolve quality-related issues.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of inspection activities.
- Conduct quality audits, witness inspections, hydro tests, pneumatic tests, welding inspections, and coating inspections as applicable.
- Review contractor documentation, material inspection reports, and quality records.
- Lead inspection teams and ensure adherence to HSE and quality management systems.
- Prepare periodic progress reports and present project updates to management.
Candidate Profile
- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in City Gas Distribution (CGD) Projects.
- Mandatory experience with a Third-Party Inspection Agency (TPIA).
- Strong knowledge of:
- Steel, MDPE, and GI pipeline inspection
- QA/QC procedures
- PNGRB regulations and CGD standards
- NDT and welding inspection practices
- Inspection documentation and reporting
- Experience in managing multiple inspection teams and client coordination.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and preparation of technical reports.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in large-scale CGD infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of ISO quality systems and inspection methodologies.
- Ability to handle multiple project sites simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
