Job Summary
Sterigold Medipack is seeking a skilled and experienced Mould Fitter to join our tool room team. The candidate will be responsible for assembly, fitting, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of injection moulds used in medical and pharmaceutical packaging manufacturing. The role requires a strong understanding of precision engineering, mould components, and preventive maintenance practices to ensure smooth production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, fit, and maintain plastic injection moulds as per technical drawings and specifications.
- Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of moulds.
- Diagnose mould-related issues and carry out necessary repairs to minimize production downtime.
- Inspect mould components for wear and damage; replace or refurbish components as required.
- Conduct mould trials and support production during mould changeovers.
- Ensure proper alignment, polishing, and finishing of mould components.
- Operate tool room equipment such as drilling, grinding, milling, and polishing machines.
- Maintain records of mould maintenance activities and spare parts usage.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and tool room teams to improve mould performance.
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping practices.
Required Qualifications
- ITI in any trade
- 3–8 years of experience in injection mould maintenance and fitting.
- Experience in medical, pharmaceutical, packaging, or plastic injection moulding industries preferred.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and use precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of hot runner systems, mould cooling systems, and mould assembly techniques is desirable.
Required Skills
- Injection mould assembly and maintenance.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Precision fitting and polishing.
- Use of measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and dial gauges.
- Knowledge of tool room machinery.
- Teamwork and communication skills.

Preferred Industry Experience: Medical packaging, pharmaceutical packaging, precision plastic components, or injection moulding manufacturing.
Pay: ₹18,500.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
