Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Sourcing
- Assist in planning and executing procurement activities based on production requirements.
- Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, packaging materials, fragrances, chemicals, and other manufacturing inputs.
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, and prepare cost analyses.
- Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and monitor order execution.
- Ensure timely procurement to avoid production delays.
Vendor Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial agreements.
- Conduct periodic supplier performance evaluations based on quality, delivery, pricing, and service.
- Resolve supplier-related issues, including shortages, delays, and quality concerns.
Inventory Coordination
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Warehouse, and Quality teams to forecast material requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels to maintain optimal stock while minimizing excess inventory.
- Assist in implementing inventory optimization and cost reduction initiatives.
Cost Management
- Identify opportunities for cost savings through alternate sourcing, bulk purchasing, and supplier negotiations.
- Monitor market trends, raw material price movements, and supply risks.
- Prepare procurement reports and cost analyses for management.
Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure procurement documentation is complete and accurate.
- Maintain purchase records, contracts, supplier databases, and pricing history.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audits related to procurement activities.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Production, Finance, Quality Assurance, Stores, and Logistics teams.
- Coordinate with Finance for invoice verification and payment processing.
- Follow up with suppliers regarding dispatches, documentation, and delivery schedules.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes and supplier performance.
- Participate in ERP implementation and procurement system improvements where applicable.
- Support strategic sourcing initiatives and annual procurement planning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA or PG Diploma in Supply Chain/Operations (preferred).
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in the FMCG, household hygiene, personal care, chemicals, or consumer goods industry is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of inventory management principles.
- Knowledge of vendor evaluation and contract management.
- Familiarity with purchasing chemicals, packaging materials, and industrial consumables is an advantage.
Pay: ₹9,626.47 - ₹40,000.00 per month
