HB+ is more than a health and wellness brand—it’s a movement to make fitness fun, inclusive, and transformative. Founded by Subhadeep (“Happy Boy”) and Selina, HB+ has been redefining fitness for over four years. We’ve moved beyond traditional ideals like abs and zero-figures, focusing instead on personalized health journeys that include strength, agility, flexibility, self-defense, and mental well-being.
Our philosophy is simple: True health is a balance of body, mind, and gut. We’ve built a flexible, 24/7 online ecosystem that empowers busy professionals to prioritize their health without sacrificing their schedules. Whether it’s live-guided workouts, nutrition advice, or mental health support, HB+ is committed to helping people lead healthier, happier lives.
Now, we’re taking the next step with HOP (An HB+ Studio)—our first physical space where our online values come to life. HOP will be a hub for innovation, community, and creating a lifestyle that inspires people to prioritize their well-being.
Fun fact: The “+” in HB+ represents our belief that fitness goes beyond physical health. It’s about mental clarity, emotional stability, and gut health—all combining to create holistic happiness. It is also inspired from the red cross symbol signifying health care and health aid.
At HB+, we are looking for growth-oriented individuals who thrive on challenges and see opportunities in problems. If you believe in creating solutions, contributing meaningfully to teams, and constantly evolving, we want you on our journey.
Here, you’ll be part of a culture that values innovation, teamwork, and personal development. HB+ isn’t just about fitness—it’s about creating impact, whether it’s for our clients, our team, or the communities we touch.
Job Role:
Take a rigorous, clinically validated health coaching curriculum and make it feel like it was written by a trusted expert speaking directly to a motivated adult learner — not by a committee preparing documentation for an accreditation board.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Rewrite the student-facing version of all 7 modules in a consistent, warm, and authoritative voice
-
Ensure every concept is introduced with context before it is explained — no student encounters a term without first understanding why it matters
-
Write smooth transitions between topics so each module reads as a coherent argument, not a list of subjects
-
Write clear, unambiguous briefs for every practical task and assessment
-
Create a student-facing Course Companion (separate from the internal academic document) with module introductions, signposting, and key takeaways
-
Establish a consistent voice and tone across all 7 modules and produce a brief style guide for future contributors
Who we are looking for:
The right person sits at the intersection of three capabilities:
1. Scientific and academic writing fluency — non-negotiable You have written patient education materials, public health content, or health/medical textbooks for a non-specialist audience. You have worked with healthcare organisations, medical publishers (Jaypee Brothers, Elsevier India, WHO India, ICMR), or public health NGOs. You write for understanding, not for impression.
2. Instructional design sense — non-negotiable You understand how adults learn. You know how to sequence content so each paragraph earns the next. You can identify exactly where a learner would get lost — and you know how to fix it.
3. Health and wellness domain literacy — non-negotiable You do not need to be a coach or clinician. But you must be able to read a paragraph about the sliding filament theory, the gut-brain axis, or motivational interviewing and understand it well enough to rewrite it clearly. A background in exercise science, nutrition, public health, sports medicine, allied health, or health journalism is ideal.
Qualifications & skills required:
Required
-
Minimum 3 years of professional writing or editing experience in health, medical, academic, or public health content
-
A portfolio of at least 3 substantial writing samples — at least one for a non-specialist audience
-
Excellent written English
-
Ability to work independently, meet milestones, and communicate proactively
Preferred
-
Degree or postgraduate qualification in a health science, life science, public health, science communication, or journalism
-
Prior experience writing for professional certification or continuing medical education programmes
-
Knowledge of Ayurveda or Indian traditional medicine systems (one module includes Ayurvedic content)
-
Familiarity with LMS platforms such as Teachable or Thinkific
What you will receive:
-
A complete, well-structured curriculum document — you are not starting from scratch
-
A full brief including the course philosophy, target learner profile, and global benchmarks we have drawn from
-
Access to the Academic Coordinator and subject matter experts throughout the engagement
-
A clear milestone schedule with feedback cycles built in
-
Competitive freelance remuneration discussed at interview
-
Optional attribution as Curriculum Editor in the published course documentation
Application Process:
-
Carefully read the JD and apply for the role.
-
On receipt of the application, a subject matter Telephonic / Personal Interview.
-
The HR Team shall send a simple questionnaire test/assignment for screening round.
-
A final round of interviews with the founders will be conducted.
-
Selected candidates shall be intimated via mail directly by the HR Team and the orientation process will follow.
-
Post intimation and dispatch of offer letters, the on-boarding process will begin.
