Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical AutoCAD Designer with 1–3 years of experience in electrical drafting, control panel design, and industrial automation projects. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in preparing electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and manufacturing drawings using AutoCAD Electrical while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain electrical schematics, control drawings, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD) for industrial and commercial electrical systems.
- Design panel layouts, General Arrangement (GA) drawings, and control panel manufacturing drawings.
- Develop terminal block drawings, cable schedules, and interconnection diagrams.
- Create motor control circuit drawings including DOL, Star-Delta, VFD, and Soft Starter controls.
- Prepare PLC I/O wiring drawings and industrial automation documentation.
- Design MCC, switchboards, and control panels according to project requirements.
- Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) and component schedules.
- Perform wire numbering, cross-referencing, and drawing validation.
- Review and update drawings based on engineering changes and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to ensure accurate documentation.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, UL508A, UL891, IEC, and NEMA standards
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical.
- Strong knowledge of Electrical Schematics and Control Drawings.
- Experience in creating Single Line Diagrams (SLD).
- Hands-on experience with Panel Layout and General Arrangement (GA) Drawings.
- Knowledge of Wiring Diagrams and Interconnection Drawings.
- Experience preparing Terminal Block Drawings and Cable Schedules.
- Understanding of Motor Control Circuits (DOL, Star-Delta, VFD, Soft Starter).
- Experience in PLC I/O Wiring Drawings and Industrial Automation systems.
- Knowledge of MCC, Switchboard, and Control Panel Design.
- Ability to prepare accurate Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Experience with Wire Numbering and Cross Referencing.
- Familiarity with NEC, UL508A, UL891, IEC, and NEMA standards.
- Ability to create Electrical Panel Manufacturing Drawings.
- Strong technical documentation and drawing review skills.
- Good understanding of Industrial Automation and Control Panel System
