Prepare OT before every procedure.
Check cleanliness, sterilization, instruments, equipment and consumables.
Verify patient identity, procedure, consent and required documentation.
Assist in patient preparation and positioning.
Ensure availability of required medicines, surgical instruments and emergency equipment.
Perform and document surgical safety checklist.
Intra-Operative Responsibilities
Assist the surgeon and anaesthesia team during procedures.
Function as Scrub Nurse or Circulating Nurse as assigned.
Maintain strict aseptic and infection-control practices.
Handle surgical instruments and sterile supplies correctly.
Monitor availability of consumables during surgery.
Perform accurate instrument, sponge, needle and swab counts.
Communicate promptly with the surgeon/anaesthetist regarding any concerns.
Maintain OT records and procedure documentation.
Post-Operative Responsibilities
Assist with patient transfer to recovery/PACU.
Ensure proper handover to recovery/ward nurse.
Check and document patient condition and vital signs as required.
Ensure instruments and equipment are appropriately handled after the procedure.
Send instruments for cleaning, decontamination and sterilization as per protocol.
Complete OT documentation and stock records.
5. Infection Control & Safety
Strictly follow hand hygiene and PPE protocols.
Maintain sterile field and aseptic technique.
Follow biomedical waste segregation guidelines.
Report needle-stick injuries, contamination and other incidents immediately.
Ensure emergency equipment and crash cart readiness.
6. Inventory & Equipment
Maintain OT consumable and surgical stock.
Check expiry dates and storage conditions.
Report shortages, damaged equipment or expired items to the OT In-charge.
Ensure proper maintenance and availability of OT equipment.
7. Professional Responsibilities
Maintain patient confidentiality and dignity.
Communicate professionally with patients, attendants and healthcare team.
Follow hospital policies, SOPs and nursing protocols.
Participate in audits, training and quality-improvement activities.
Maintain punctuality, discipline and proper shift handover.
8. Qualifications
GNM / B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
Valid nursing registration as applicable.
Previous OT experience preferred.
Knowledge of surgical procedures, sterilization and infection control.

Pay: Up to ₹35,000.00 per month
