Salary: ₹40,000 – ₹45,000 per Month
Job Summary
The NPD Assistant Manager will be responsible for leading new product development activities, supplier development, APQP/PPAP implementation, cost optimization, and cross-functional project management. The role requires strong technical and leadership capabilities to ensure successful product launches and continuous cost improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end new product development projects from concept to production.
- Develop components such as Injection Molded Parts, Machined Parts, Forging Parts, Press Parts, Deep Draw Parts, Rubber Parts, Copper Parts, Insert Molding Components, and Packaging Materials.
- Manage APQP activities and ensure successful PPAP submission and approval.
- Conduct supplier audits and drive supplier quality improvements.
- Lead supplier development and vendor management activities.
- Drive VAVE and cost reduction projects.
- Analyze product costing and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Coordinate with Design, Quality, Production, Purchase, and Customer teams.
- Monitor project timelines, risks, and deliverables.
- Prepare management reports, presentations, and project status reviews.
- Mentor and guide NPD Engineers and team members.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and Supplier Quality Systems.
- Experience in New Product Development and Vendor Development.
- Costing and Cost Reduction expertise.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent MS Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Good communication and negotiation abilities.
Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Automobile, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
