A Grade 1 (Mother Teacher )as a primary educator, caregiver, and facilitator for young learners. The role focuses on the holistic academic, social, and emotional development of first-grade students, helping them transition into formal education while building foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and life skills.
Core Responsibilities
- Instructional Delivery: Teach core subjects (English, Mathematics, EVS) using engaging, play-way, and activity-based methodologies.
- Classroom Management: Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive environment that encourages curiosity and positive behavior.
- Child Well-being: Act as a surrogate mother to ensure students' emotional support, hygiene, and overall personal safety.
- Assessment & Evaluation: Monitor and assess student progress, maintain academic records, and identify areas requiring remedial support.
- Parent Communication: Build strong partnerships with parents through regular updates, PTMs (Parent-Teacher Meetings), and guidance on home learning.
Typical Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor's Degree with B.Ed., D.El.Ed., or Montessori/Early Childhood Education certifications.
- Soft Skills: High levels of patience, empathy, strong interpersonal communication, and creative lesson-planning abilities.
- Experience: Typically 1 to 3+ years of experience in handling primary-grade students.
